Benefits
You took the first step and made the decision to start your program. Now, it is time to do something equally important and just as courageous. It’s time to re-enroll and return to college. It’s time to reconnect.
You took the first step and made the decision to start your program. Now, it is time to do something equally important and just as courageous. It’s time to re-enroll and return to college. It’s time to reconnect.
The process can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. In fact, with MN Reconnect it is the opposite. Really. Your navigator is there from the very beginning to assist with the application process, finding and applying for financial aid, and creating a class schedule that works around your life.
It doesn’t stop there. We not only help you re-enroll, we help you stay enrolled and complete.
Our navigators are specifically trained for working with adult learners. They are committed to understanding you, your lifestyle and your priorities. For instance, if you need an evening schedule because you work full-time during the day, we make it work; if online classes are your only option, we make it work. Your navigator is there for you every step of the way.
As an adult learner, your personal responsibilities are most likely different than they were when you initially started your program. Your navigator is there to make the transition back to college as smooth as possible.
We understand that adult learners face financial barriers that may interfere with their educational goals. For this reason, MN Reconnect is awarding $1,000 per semester to eligible adult learners when enrolling in a MN Reconnect participating institution. This means that you may count on funding each semester, in addition to other federal and state grants, to help you pay tuition, buy books, or assist with childcare or transportation costs.
We highly encourage you to take advantage of this benefit, but you do not have to do it alone. Our navigators look forward to working with you and get you started with the re-enrollment process and scholarship application.
